Collection: National Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15 to October 15, recognizes and honors the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic Americans, whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. The month-long observance, which began as a week in 1968 and was expanded in 1988, coincides with the Independence Day celebrations of several Latin American countries, acknowledging the diverse roots of the Hispanic community in the United States.
